As a busy session musician, Tom Banks often finds himself playing in new venues, in tricky conditions, where the lighting may be terrible. So, having LEDs added into the side of the neck has made it much easier to ensure his fingers are in the right place.
To fit the LEDs a channel is set through the neck to hold the wiring.
The LEDs sit where the pearl inlays would usually appear.
There is a holder for the battery pack in the body of the guitar.
